Questions people ask

Why is this higher than some other calculators?
Because it is the whole budget. Most per-square-foot figures leave out map approval, utility connections, the boundary wall and any allowance for price rises — and those routinely add 10–15%. Every line is shown separately, so you can compare like with like.
How accurate is it?
The grey structure is built up from real quantities of cement, steel, bricks, sand and crush at current market prices, plus labour — so when material prices change, the estimate changes with them. Treat the result as a planning range; your drawings and a contractor's itemised quote give the final number.
What size is a marla?
This calculator uses the 225 sq ft marla used by LDA, DHA and most housing societies, so 5 marla is 1,125 sq ft and 1 kanal (20 marla) is 4,500 sq ft. Some older areas use a 272 sq ft marla.
Can I enter my exact covered area?
Yes. By default the calculator assumes a typical layout for your plot, but if your architect's drawings give a covered area, type it in and everything is recalculated from that.
Can I share the estimate with family?
Yes. Every change is saved in the page address, so the WhatsApp and copy-link buttons send the exact house you worked out.
